This is what I do in math class: write poems while thinking about writing the essay that analyzed a poem.
This is what I came up with:
Valiant
why hide
apicture
inapicture
inapicture?
What purpose does it serve to keep zooming in?
These repetetive motions
Censor our thoughts
Our beliefs?
How is it that they change?
Beautiful answers
cause beautiful questions
as a leaf f
a
l
l
s -
Puppets dancing on their strings
Apparent highlights
Tangled up in a world of insecurities
Warning!
this may be more than you can handle.
If I told you my imagination
would let you lose the one for which you care
Would you still strive for immortality?
Infinity is a definition; an english word
- not really your strong point -
But that symbol of forever?
Forever is composed of nows
That class I hold so dear
Burning new old ideas
Letting reality resurface
"You must be so brave, beautiful."
So I'll catch me some Swiss Fever -
Regardless of fear, the future lasts forever.
And the story behind it? Simple actual events. But it does weave a magical tale, doesn't it?
